UPDATE: The FIFTIETH (50!) Fire Suppression Tool (FST) donated by Wisconsin Freemasons was successfully deployed by a Trempleau County Sheriff’s Deputy, saving lives, pets and property! Moreover, it also tempered the fire and made it safer for first responders to enter the structure. Here’s the read-out from the Wisconsin State Patrol:
“Trooper Wojcik responded to a reported structure fire in the Village of Independence, in Trempealeau County. Upon arrival, a female resident was standing outside the residence, and smoke was visible coming out the front door. Trooper Wojcik, a Trempealeau County Sheriff's Deputy, and volunteer firefighter entered and cleared the residence. During entry, the family dog was removed.
The fire was located in the kitchen, on the stove and exhaust fan with flames visible. Trooper Wojcik deployed his fire suppression tool (FST) on top of the stove and ordered the evacuation of the residence. The FST successfully deployed and extinguished the fire. The fire department arrived on scene and fumigated the residence. No injuries were reported, and the only loss of equipment was the deployed FST.”
Be proud of our work getting hundreds of these life-saving FSTs in the hands of first responders across the state - we are making a difference!
